Gethsemane has many
opportunities for you to
meet others--and
Jesus--through a variety
of inviting
opportunities.
For Youth
NEW!!!
Family Fun Nights
are held each Tuesday
evening, 6-8 pm.
Designed for families of
all ages, Family Fun
Nights begin with free
meal for all, then
various fun activities.
Frequently special
"guests" will offer
special activities for
kids, adults and all
ages. Each evening
closes with a short
devotional just before 8
pm. A great way to
become familiar with
GLC!
Parents' Night Out
is Gethsemane's way
of providing parents a
"Date Night" while
offering fun activities
for children. PNO is
offered once/month on
Friday evenings, 6-9 pm,
in our Family Life
Center.
Sunday School is
offered on Sunday
mornings for children
ages 3 and up. The
smaller class sizes
facilitate a low
teacher-student ratio in
which children and youth
can interact and grow
with their teachers and
other participants.
Octane 3:16.
Gethsemane is an active
participant in this
Oakland/Macomb County
LCMS youth ministry.
Mission trips to Mexico,
Youth Gatherings, and
other major activities
are just a part of
Octane 3:16's offerings.
GLC/SALC YOUTH:
Joint activities with
St. Augustine Lutheran,
Troy, have been enjoyed
for several years. As
the youth know and
participate in
activities together,
they grow together in
Christ as they
experience the joy, fun
and challenge of
Christian living.
For Adults
Christian Fellowship
Club. CFC is a
passionate group of
adults interested in
outreach, friendship and
a variety of activities.
In addition to their
support of seminary
students, CFC assists
area LCMS missions and
Gethsemane's ministries
in various ways.
Golden Lunch Bunch.
GLB is a
once-a-month lunch
fellowship for seniors
of all ages.
Participants enjoy lunch
and a special activity
and/or speaker each
month.
Bible Studies are
held throughout the year
on Sundays and mid-week,
mornings afternoon and
evenings. Led by Pastor
and members, Bible
Studies cover a broad
range of topics. Women's
Bible Study, Men's Bible
Study and other groups
meet throughout the
year.
"Membership 101"
Inquiry Classes
are held throughout the
year. This 6 session
course is an overview of
the Christian Faith as
taught by Lutherans.

Those who complete this
course may be received
as members of
Gethsemane.
For
Women
Women's Book Club
meets once per month in
the "Fireside" area of
our Family Life Center.
Join the friendly
discussion of Christian
literature as
participants discuss the
"Book of the Month" and
it's application to
Christian living.
Quilters (Not
Just For Women!).
Gethsemane's quilters
meet weekly to make
quilts for Lutheran
World Relief. Each year
Gethsemane's Quilters
make nearly 300 quilts.
Some are sold locally
for just $35. Proceeds
from quilt sales provide
necessary funds to sent
hundreds of quilts to
people throughout the
world in economically
deprived, war-torn, or
areas destroyed via
natural disaster.
