Pastor Fischer has been Pastor of Gethsemane since April,
2001. Since beginning pastoral ministry in 1984, Pastor Fischer provides
the focus and encouragement for GLC's growing ministry.

avid writer, Pastor's Ministry
Health website has been recognized by publishers,
denominational officials, and seminaries throughout the world. His
passion for music and
talents as a classical
organist, contemporary
keyboardist, and
director is evident in
all our worship
services. His creative
hymn lyrics, keyboard
accompaniments and original
handbell compositions
are regularly used in Gethsemane's
worship services.
Pastor Fischer's personal manner, creativity and simple manner
is evident in his sermons, pastoral counseling, his teaching and in his passion
for music. He also serves as Regional Consultant for Lutheran Church
Extension Fund's Capital Funding Services.
Married since 1980, Pastor and his wife, Cheryl, have been
blessed with a grown daughter, Michelle, and son-in-law Bob, who reside in
Chicago. Pastor and
Cheryl are also proud
supporters of Cheryl's
brother, Rev. Greg
Lorenz, Director of LATINO

and Pastor of Pan De
Vida Hispanic
Lutheran Church based
in Detroit's
Mexicantown.

enthusiasm is evident throughout Gethsemane.
Her dedication to Gethsemane's ministry
and her passion to reach out to others is one of her most outstanding
gifts. Married and a mother of two growing young adults, Sandy stand ready and willing
to offer assistance as Administrative Secretary.

Eileen, our
Worship Coordinator, has a passion for worship. As Worship Coordinator,
she assists Pastor Fischer in every aspect of our worship and music
ministry, e.g. adult choir, adult chimes, family chimes, Praise Team and
other groups. Eileen also coordinates GLC's multi-media ministry with the
remarkably dedicated assistance of Margie Luecke.
